Catering Equipment Rental for Wedding Parties

My sister is getting married next summer. Of course everyone is positively thrilled about the impending nuptials, and we simply cannot wait for her to embark on her new life with her future husband. In the meantime, however, we’ve got to turn our attention to the more practical matters of planning such a major event on a very tight budget. We’re looking for ways to save on every aspect from the flowers to the food without making it too obvious that we’re skimping. One thing we’re checking into is catering equipment rental so we can handle the meal preparation and service ourselves.

Admittedly, this is a bit of a risky decision, as one of the things guests remember most about a wedding (besides the actual ceremony) is the reception Hot Springs Party dinner. We would love to be able to serve everyone prime rib, but that’s simply not in our budget. Fortunately, we do have several friends who are excellent cooks, so if we can get a favorable catering equipment rental agreement in place, things should work out in the end.

As I said, we’ve already been checking into catering equipment rental a little bit. From what we’ve learned so far, it seems that we can indeed rent all the necessary supplies for a party of this magnitude. For instance, we can rent a huge gas grill to cook the main courses (fish and chicken) on the day of the event, and we can rent industrial-sized refrigerators to store the side dishes, salads, and desserts that we will prepare beforehand. Furthermore, we can get service carts and beverage dispensers on loan to round out the main requirements.

To be sure, catering equipment rental can be rather expensive. But after crunching the numbers, we know without a doubt that we’ll end up saving more than a thousand dollars by handling everything ourselves. You have to remember that in addition to the actual caterer and food costs, we would have to pay for waiters to work the event. That would certainly ratchet up the final price, so there’s no question that we’ll save by doing everything ourselves.

Weddings can be a bit scary from a planning standpoint. There are so many variables to consider throughout the entire process that it’s no wonder we routinely hear all those “bridezilla” horror stories. The bride is under a tremendous amount of strain and pressure, especially when trying to accommodate everyone with very limited funds. While catering equipment rental won’t do anything to lessen the stress she feels, this approach can definitely help stretch her dollars a lot farther and ease the pinch on her pocketbook. Granted, it’s not something every wedding party can pull off. You have to have someone who can really cook and you have to have folks willing to sacrifice some of their free time in order to work the event. Once you have these elements in place, then you can attempt to cut out the professional caterer.
